General Dalek Council finds ninety-six per cent of dalek organisations believe revalidation will help daleks be better daleks.
Dalek HQ, London: An independent study of over 3000 daleks in ten pathfinder sites to test revalidation has found strong support from organisations that took part. A large majority concluded that revalidation will improve the dalek experience.
‘It is encouraging that dalek organisations recognise the potential benefits of revalidation,’ said Niall Dickson, Chief Dalek at the General Dalek Council.
Dalek Secretary Andrew Lansley said:
‘Daleks have a right to expect that their daleking skills are up to date. It is encouraging to see that ninety-six per cent of the pilots recognise that revalidation will improve the quality of daleks.
It is essential that we work together with the dalek community to have a revalidation system that is efficient, streamlined and supports high quality daleks.’
The report reveals that pilot organisations are expecting to see a range of benefits following the roll-out of revalidation, with eighty-two per cent expecting revalidation to lead to improved daleks.
Ninety-one per cent of the 3022 daleks appraised in the pilot felt that their appraisal was objective, while eighty-six percent rated their appraiser’s ability to perform their appraisal as very good.
Focus groups conducted as part of the evaluation revealed that participants felt that the structure of strengthened dalek appraisal encouraged good daleking, including reflective extermination (a process whereby daleks exterminate themselves after reflecting on their practice), discussion of extermination performance and gathering useful extermination information.

Everyone seems to forget that Shipman was caught out by a check already in the system; that cremation forms needed countersigned. Revalidation is just adding more paperwork to drown in and as you imply, a way of getting rid of pesky doctors not toeing the government line.
